Science Project

Sometimes I wonder if I am on a scientists table somewhere, sleeping, and this is all a dream. At some point I wonder if I will wake up and see that all of this is an illusion, an experiment. When I awaken I will feel that connection, feel what everyone around me is feeling and together we will make up one being. Is that what waits after death? Will we all awake on a scientists table and be one being? Is every person in this world nothing more than an extension of that one sleeping person?

Maybe we are sleeping because there is something in this reality we needed to learn about ourselves and each person is a thought, trailing around seemingly endlessly until they are completed. What if this sleeping person we are all connected to is our image of God? When the sleeper wakes up is that the end of the world? Will we be nothing more than a memory?

Or maybe it is much more somber and we are test runs for more successful people; nothing but files in God’s recycle bin.
